Is this water damage repairable with a new digitizer?

A few weeks ago my phone got water damaged and it didnt seem too serious except that because of the cracks in the screen some black blobs appeared in the most cracked part of the screen. What I’m wondering is, if I buy a new digitizer and clean it, will the blobs still appear?

Thanks

The blobs are from the water going inside screen.

Their not going to be there of course if you replace the whole screen assembly.

The OP should understand that if water got in, it could be on the logic board as well, slowly corroding the solder. Ideally, the phone should be properly decontaminated before spending money on a new screen...just IMHO.

I agree with @refectio water damage can cause shorts and leave residue in the logic board, in places you can't see. You'd be better off getting it properly cleaned.
