How do I fixed a broken PowerBook that fell 3ft?

Hi,

A couple of days ago, my 12in mac Powerbook, fell off of my table. Now when I turn it on the loading screen shows up only it won't load. I put in a strat up disc and you can hear it load and still nothing happens. I press the ejecy button on the key board and the disc ejects. Is then anything I can do? Let me know, Thanks, Alex

Hook it up to an external monitor and try starting it. You first have to narrow down what the problem is. Was the screen open when it dropped, which corner did it land on and is it dented, if so where? Please give us the last three letters of your serial number so we know which machine you have.

Hi,

the screen was open and it fell on the front right corner and yes, a piece by the disc thing popped out.

I still need to know which Mac you have. Positions of parts are different on different machines. Did it fall on the corner of the screen or main body? How are the hinges and does it close properly?
