Boots on with black screen

I have tried all the methods online, SMC reset, PRAM reset, type in password and hit return, and key press sequence to restart the computer (even turning on the brightness, yes!). I've also tried to connect it to a monitor and that doesn't work either.

One thing is to be noted, it would first turn on completely black, but then after a minute or so the light would be on, but it remains black (I hope that makes sense). And if I boot it up with it connected to the monitor, the monitor would first be white, then it would turn grey when the screen (of the macbook itself) lights up.

Anyone has any clue as to what to do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Do you have access to a second Mac? If you do see if you can connect your system to it in Target Disk Mode.

Here's how: macOS Sierra: Transfer files between two computers using target disk mode

Are you able to gain access to the systems files?
