Hp provides "Maintenance and Service Guides" for every model laptop they produce. Here is the one for your laptop:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05...

You will find what you are looking for on page 34.

Good luck!

Thank you for that, but thats not the correct manual unfortunately

I tried the site , but not sure how to locate service manuals ?

Give HP a call! They should be able to aim you to the manual or even tell you how to get to the hard drive.

would love to but being deaf makes things difficult :(

Try looking through this list: HP Pavilion 14

Give this a try: HP Live Chat - Laptop support

Huh. I couldn't quite find the service manual for your exact machine. The only thing close I could find was the user manual:

https://support.hp.com/ie-en/product/hp-...

But that is not what you are looking for. Try contacting HP. They should be able to send it to you / post it up for download.
