How to fix screen flicker MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)?

Screen started on permaflicker yesterday. Had intermittent issues for a day or two prior. No know drops or blows to the maching. Display on external monitor is fine, screenshots do not capture any of the dipslay issues. Seems to be LCD / hardware related I think. Got tools on the way to crack into it and see if anythings loose. About 6 months out of warranty. Any other suggestions?

Oh Boy you got it bad!

Your issue is likely the lid assembly got a good bang damaging it. To be sure your image should be clear using an external display. If thats the case, follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Display Assembly Replacement and here's the part you'll need:

Hi there! I think I have the same issue on the MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) and I want to see if I can fix it myself. Is there a guide for my model?
