Remove battery and plug to usb/ac. Will it work?
I have an ipod that won't turn on, so i thought maybe the battery was faulty. I ripped it off and plugged the ipod to ac/usb but still no power. Should i assume a faulty logic board or could it still be just the battery faulty and it allways needs a battery to boot?
Any thoughts?
Is this a good question?

BOL the equipment may not need the battery to boot off but it may need it for feedback. The processor may be looking for a battery to display battery charge etc., so if it can't find it it may hang up. This is a general statement, not just an iPod thing.
