Options

1) turn off bluetooth and WiFi unless you are using it

2) make sure you have good antivirus and anti malware like comodo

3) make sure your phone has the latest OS updates

4) make sure you apps have the latest updates

5) if you charge your phone in public USB spots, use a special type of USB cable that only charges and cannot send data
