iPhone 6 Microphone not working?

Iv had my phone for about a year now, no water damage, cracks or anything.

For a while now anytime I try to use the microphone in apps like facetime, skype or when using siri, the microphone doesn't pickup my voice unless I use my earphones.

In phone calls or when taking videos the microphone will pickup the audio.

The microphone is turned on for apps and iv tried just about everything, anyone have an idea of how to fix this so I can video chat my friends?

Hi, I have had the same problem on my iphone 6 but for the charging flex microphone. This causes the problem that I can't talk in calls or video calls but can be heard in facetime calls. Facetime uses the front microphone for the calls and this is what's not working on your phone. To fix this problem I would take apart the phone and take the camera flex out of the LCD assembly. Then plug it back in without the bracket and then power the phone on and test it, be sure to clean it before testing aswell as it might be dirt. If this still doesn't work then you have a faulty microphone. Check the connector carefully if there is no rips in the f;ex and if not I would reccomend buying another replacement from ebay or amazon. I buy my parts from ebay and the best that always works for me is buying used genuine apple parts. They are usually cheap and very reliable. Hopefully that helped you
