wont disengage 4 wheel drive

2002 dodge rame 2500 6 speed manual will shift and drive in 4 low 4 high but will not disengage back into 2 wheel drive it feels like it is in 2 wheel drive but it will not drive can anyone help please

Is the shifter for engaging the 4 wheel drive a manual floor shifter or a dash electric shifter?
