Why did my phone trip off and cant switch on when I connected to my PC

I just got my Phone this week and earlier today, I connected my phone to my PC to transfer files, which i haven't done before, only for it to seize and trip off and it hasn't come back on since then. Tried connecting it to Power to charge it but the body only feels warm and not coming on still. What could the problem be and how do i fix it???
