Every time I turn on my Fujifilm Finepix T410WM camera, there is an error message on the screen. "Turn off the camera and turn on again." No matter how many times I cycle power, it does not go away. Also, I noticed the the year displayed on the screen is 1956. Not sure how any of this happened. Camera is 5 years old and has never been dropped. Is there anyway to fix this?

@slagerquust16 it is possible that this "Turn off the camera and turn on again." is caused by a stuck lens. If the lens cannot retract or extend you would get the error message. Check on here for some ideas on how to resolve it. If those do not work consider replacing the lens.
Your date issue is most likely an error with the RTC (real time clock) power circuitry. Some cameras still use batteries on the circuit board that will keep the time and date. Others use capacitors. If your camera has a battery it would need to be changed.
