When I go to listen to music it plays for a little bit then it stops and hit me with that “This accessory is not supported by this iPhone” I’m trying to listen to music the adapter is brand new have no idea why it says that. I restarted my phone so many times nothing works

@winexxfine you did not tell us what make and model adapter you are using. It is entirely possible that it is not compatible with your iPhone. Apple is kind of funny about aftermarket docks etc.

I bought an aftermarket adapter after losing the original. On the box it says that it is "iPhone 7 compatible" and I get the "THIS ACCESSORY IS NOT SUPPORTED " error message. Need to find a work around. The brand is Xtreme.

Same here! Can stand the Iphone earbuds, want my softer ones, so bought a aftermarket adapter that said for iphone 7 and the others... Apple should give you a choice on what kind of ear buds you want..the ones they give you hurt my ears!
