Black panel on top left of screen.

Amazon Fire stick with Kodi

Every now and again,I get a black panel over the top left quarter of the screen.It lasts for maybe 30 seconds then disappears.Have updated Kodi,but it's still there.Anybody ?????.

One time I left it for a while and it looked like a pop up advert over the screen,then it was gone again.
