Black screen after MacBook battery replacement

I recently bought a battery replacement kit from iFixit for my 13” late 2013 retina Macbook Pro. I have followed the instructions from iFixit and the battery works really well.

But after a day or so after replacing my old battery, my Mac's screen would just go black (in hindsight I should try to play music and see if everything still works).

I press and hold the power button to turn the machine off. The first couple times, just doing that seemed to solve the issue. But then two days ago, my Macbook screen went black and it only started working after I let it be for a while.

It worked without a problem and it just went black today while I was reading an article on Safari. I have reset the PRAM and that hasn't solved the issue. I have also tried to plug my computer to an external monitor and I was unable to get it to work.

Upon turning my computer on, I hear the Apple chime and I am able to press caps lock and see the light turn on, but I am unable to turn on my Mac's keyboard. Does anybody know what could have caused this?

My Mac is in good condition, I am running High Sierra ,and this problem started after I installed a new battery.

I was only able to turn my computer on today. And a few moments later the problem happened again. I tried pressing Caps lock to see if the computer was on and it's light did not light up. So I am starting to think that the MacBook is turning off instead of just the display. I have tried resetting the SMC to no avail. If I press the power button I still hear the Apple chime, but I don't see anything show up on the screen. The Caps lock light turns on, but I am unable to see anything when I connect it to an external monitor as well.

I am using the original charger and I have drained the battery before and fully charged it.

I was gonna re do it now, but my computer just turned off. Two minutes after I got it to power on.

Any ideas what the issue could be/ how to fix it?
