Hi

We have MacBook Pro which has just used 55 cycles! from yesterday I see my MacBook going to sleep exactly on 45% Take a take look here:

I believe maybe this is a software (OS) problem ?

At the moment I have typed this question on battery the battery indicator hanged on 100% after maybe 2-3 hours later its will start countdown 99 98 97 ..... till 44%.

IMPORTANT: After fully charging I have reset SMC and I see my MacBook is again charging!

Is there possiblity this is software or OS problem? Maybe they are confusing to counting % of battery

Update (09/28/2017)

Hi

here new screenshot from CoconutBattery

lets explain more :

Something is very wrong with this picture. Let's take a look with a different battery program. You are showing only 55cycles and the battery's maximum charge is down to only 55% of the original capacity. That's way off from where it should be. Has something happened to this machine like a liquid spill? Is this the original battery? Please download and run Coconut Battery and post your results. http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba...

First I would start with reviewing the MagSafe charger and it’s cord. Review this Apple T/N: Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters also make sure you have a real Apple MagSafe adapter some cloned units can damage your Mac and just don’t work correctly. Here’s a good write up Why you shouldn’t use Cheap MacBook chargers

Next you should review your energy settings: Use the Energy Saver settings on your Mac

And lastly, make sure you have calibrated your battery following this guide: How To Calibrate a Mac Laptop's Power System

Update (09/28/2017)

If you checked the MagSafe chargers cord and the connection and found no problems then I suspect the battery has an issue here.

Is this the original battery or a new battery?

Is it possible need restore MacBook to default?

Let’s try a different tool here to make sure the values are correct. Download this app: CoconutBattery. Paste a full screenshot of the main screen so we can see what it shows.

As far as restoring I think that would be going a bit to far for this problem.

Is this a new battery or a recycled battery?

Hi Masoud!

Did you solve the issue with your battery? Hope you did!

I have the same problem with my macbook pro 2017, and I'm in Argentina right now with no possibility to access to apple service.

If you solve it please let me know how.

Best,
