Not sure where to go next

Ford f150 v8 4.6liter. driving along oil light comes on . Speedometer drops to zero. Rpms stay the same. Temperature light drops to cold. Of light flashed. Hit accelerator rpms go up but nothing happens. Check engine light came on had a transmission range sensor code. Changed that and speed sensor in rear ... After that did it again. Hopefully someone had an idea of what I can do next...

Yes the rpm gauge goes up and the engine increases speed but I go no faster. And yes I changed the one on the pumpkin on top of the axle. Is that not the right ones. I'm been told its possibly the cluster or ecm as well... I'm so aggravated...... Ugh

Todd (@pitcherdad27 )when you say the rpm goes up but nothing happens do you mean your not moving or increasing speed . Is the truck actually shifting gears? What you are describing sounds like speed sensor errors . You mentioned you replace the rear sensor. By rear do you mean the ABS sensor in the rear axle or the speed sensor in the rear of the transmission . People often confuse the two . however there are actually two speed sensors that you need to replace . One is in the front of the transmission (input sensor)and the other is in the rear(output sensor ) .

You probably got a P0720 error code which tells you the error is the output sensor . The thing is that if the input sensor is off its the output sensor that detects the problem . This is why its important to replace both sensors
