HP may have told the BIOS manufacturer to deliberately lock you out of advanced features. Off the shelf computer manufacturers deliberately neuter the bios to protect against risk and lawsuits.

when you turn it on keep pressing f10 until you get bios up, then advanced should be there somewhere
