How do you change the number that is set in the phone

My granddaughter broke her virgin mobile phone i have a old kyocera virgin phone but my phone number is saved internally how do i chang it to her number without changing plans

Options

Most phones today have a SIM chip which you can slide out and place in a different phone.

If yours doesn’t have a SIM chip then it’s an older programmed type which may not work with your granddaughters carrier.
