Odd Behavior after Battery Replacement

Hi,

I just replaced my iPhone 6s battery, and I noticed a couple odds quirks. First, the usage since last full charge field under settings is blank, and only shows "-". Second, when I calibrated the battery by letting the phone go dead after charging 100%, it never showed the red battery screen once the screen turned off, it just started going into a boot loop before I started charging it a bit. Once it got some charge it booted to the home screen. Is this permanent? Seemed a bit odd.

Thanks

That is odd indeed. I think you may have a bad battery as it doesn't appear that the battery gas gauge IC is communicating with the logic board. If you still have the original battery, I would try to connect it instead (no need to remove the replacement) just to see if the problem goes away.

Bad replacement batteries are pretty common, especially from dubious sources like eBay or Amazon.
