My son dropped iPhone 4s down the toilet? Flashlight stays on

Basically my 3year old son had my iPhone 4s and dropped it down the toilet.

I didnt know till later on in the evening when I noticed the flashlight was on. Looked but the screen is black nothing happening except flashlight consistently on. This is when I noticed it was wet. I sucked the water out (not knowing at the time it was toilet water obviously

Update (09/23/2017)

This is a really common issue with the 4/4S's when they get wet. You may need to open the device and dry it out with a paper towel. Once you know that the device is completely dried you should check and see if any of the connections on the board have any corrosion. If the do try cleaning the connections gently with a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol.

@greatstuff the first thing that you want to do is to make sure you do NOT turn your phone on or try to charge it etc. This could make a bad situation worse. Use this guide to clean your iPhone. It was written for a 3G but all the points apply to your phone as well. These guides will help you disassemble your phone. Once cleaned, replace the battery, re-evaluate for any further damage.
