touch screen not working, problem is motherboard based

i have a iphone 3gs that doesnt respond to any touch, after some troubleshooting it turns out to be motherboard based and not the digitizer itself. the connector seems to be fine, so does anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong and how to fix this? let me know. thanks!

Ty Yamasaki, is this still a problem? How did you determine that it is a logic board issue?

I actually sold off the phone, but I determined it was the motherboard because I had an extra digitizer that I knew worked which didn't work in this phone but worked in another.
