Why does my tv have discoloration/rainbow lines?

I have a LG 50" Smart TV with the model number 47LV5500 that has worked perfectly fine since I got it and I just turned it on and there is discoloration and rainbow lines throughout the screen. It was never hit or bumped into so I'm unsure why the LCD would be messing up. Is there any way to fix this without spending a bunch of money?

@deidradrake that depends on where these lines are and what the screen looks like. It is possible that this is either a T-con board issue or a panel issue. If it is the t-con board you are looking at around $40USD. Post some images of what your screen shows so we can see what you see. Use this guide for that. BTW your 47LV5500 is a 47" TV not 50" ;)

For some odd reason it just went back to normal hahah. Im assuming maybe that T-con board you mentioned is going bad? Hopefully the issue just doesn't return but regardless $40 is not bad! Thank you for responding :)
