Block Image

I cut open then cable and I now have a Red, Green, Blue and Copper wrapped around a White wire.

I have my replacement plug and also need help to where I would solder them.

Hi @jeci ,

This is the wiring for a Turtle beach Ear Force PX22 so a reasonable assumption would be that it would be the same for a Turtle Beach Ear Force Z22

Starting from the "tip"

1. Green - tip

2. Red - ring 1

3. White - ring 2

4. Blue and copper twisted and soldered together - sleeve.

I've never seen this combination of wires before. My advice would be to strip back the original plug and see how it wires up.

Normally white is ground/neutral (the copper part too) and red is the right channel.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I lost the original plug. The cable is for Turtle Beach Z22 Headphones and am curious to what the blue is for.

@jeci, I believe that green and blue wires are for Mic and left channel, but I'm not sure which goes to which. You should try around different stuff.

Hi,

In Samsung Galaxy compatible earphone, the pinouts are as follows:

1= Head = Left = Green

2= Ring 1 = Right = Blue

3= Ring 2 = Ground = Copper = Gold = Common

4= Base = Mic = Red

So:

3,4 = pause switch

1,3 = Left earphone (35-50 Ohms)

2,3 = Right earphone (35-50 Ohms)
