Water damaged iPhone not turning on

My iPhone went for a bit of a dip, and it isn't turning on. I put it in rice for a few days and it still isn't turning on. So I opened it up and the indicator strip above the battery is pink/red. Does that mean that the battery is shot?

If someone can help me with this that would be great, the internet is no help in this department.

The pink/red object you're seeing is an indicator that the unit got wet, similarly with Samsung (pink-ish).

You're going to want to clean out the board if you want to attempt to revive your unit.

Edit:

Tear down for the unit to get to the board.
