Hey everyone my son smashed my iPhone 6 Plus screen and when I turn it on all parts of the screen touch are not responsive, even the noncracked portion. Is the phone most likely toast or if I buy this glass repair kit will that most likely fix the touch issue too. This phone had zero issues prior to the damage.

The only way to really determine that is if you replace the screen. The point of impact and how he smashed the device will be a factor on how the end results come out.
I strongly encourage to get the kit. Follow the instructions clearly and be cautious of the screw placement (different sizes of screws exist) and ensuring the battery is disconnected prior to disconnecting any other cable. For these are very common errors.
