Can you fix an HP Photosmart 6525?

My HP printer says there is a carriage jam. I have done everything suggested online to clear the jam and there is no paper jammed inside the printer. I have gone through all of HP's trouble shooting suggestions.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Carriage Jam means the carriage the cartridges are snapped into (the whole thing) needs to be moved, because the printer cannot for some reason move the cartridges to where they need to be

I just had this happen on this same model, when it had not been used in some time. After manually moving it around, the jam was cleared

I'm not familiar with this particular model so this is just general advice. It could be that there is a small slip of paper covering one of the sensors it uses to detect the jam. It may be hard to find without some disassembly. Or it could be a failure in one of the sensors. Does it give any error numbers or codes?
