My wifi sometimes does not work after I move my laptop...

My wifi sometimes does not work after I move my laptop, which leads me to think that it is either a wifi cable or wifi card problem. My bluetooth still works though. I don't know if it has a bad connector or something too. Whenever it cuts out, I turn off my machine and just unhook the wifi cable and put it back, then it works again. What should I do?

Update (09/20/2017)

It is definitely not a router thing. This happens no matter what wifi I am connected to. Key word is movement here. It seems to be more prevalent when I move my laptop.

You’ll need to focus down a bit here on which model you have. Apple has created quite a few different variations of 13” MacBook Pro’s.

How about plugging in your systems Serial number which you can find under ‘About This Mac’ into here EveryMac - Lookup, then paste your systems URL here so we can see it.

Are you popping off the bottom cover of your System every time to get it to reconnect? Or, are you altering the Router by unplugging it? If that’s the case can you give us a bit more here on your router (WiFi Access Point).

Update (09/21/2017)

A common problem in this series is the WiFi cable fails. Here’s the IFIXIT guide you’ll need to follow: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 AirPort/Bluetooth Cable Replacement and this is the part: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Early 2011/Late 2011/Mid 2012) Airport/Bluetooth Cable - Apple P/N 922-9780. I would start there.

If that fails to fix things you’ll have a bigger job replacing the WiFi/Bluetooth antenna unit which is in the clutch cover. You’ll need to take the display off to gain access to it.

Sorry and to your earlier question, I am popping off the bottom cover of my System every time to get it to reconnect. As a follow up question, if the problem were the wifi cable, would the bluetooth not work either?

A damaged cable can have odd behaviors! I've seen one or both fail.

I know 100% that it is a hardware problem because I am popping off the bottom cover of my System every time and unplugging and reconnecting the wifi cable to get it to reconnect.
