My Epson P50 is reading the Epson T50 model on my computer

My epson p50 is being read as the T50 model instead so therefore

it also demands the ink cartridges for T50 and won't read the ink cartridges for

P50. I had the circuit chip board/cartridge connector replaced, I'm not sure if that

is what caused it.

Update (09/19/2017)

This is what I had replaced because it was damaged so I had it repaired.

I wonder if I change the chipboard placed on the cartridges for a T50 one,

would that work perhaps? Because the connector should read the cartridges

as T50 ones right?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'd guess the repair is what's done it. Was it done by an Epson certified centre? Either way, I'd go back to them and ask them to have another look at it.

Sorry didn't fully realise how this worked but I added more details to my

question on the first post. It was not an epson certified centre.

The problem is I had this cartidge chip board replaced because the printer

was old and it was basically wear and tear. Now I watched them replace the

cartridge chipboard for me, that was all that was done and they don't really

know how to tackle the situation themselves. I feared that the problem was with

the software, I thought I may have reprogrammed it(its motherboard) with T50 Adjustment program to T50 model. But from what your telling me it sounds like it could be the chip I replaced. Do you think I should get a new one?
