Would water damage to the logic board be visible?

Block Image

To continue from my last question, I spilt very little water on my keyboard. My ssd got fried which is visible in the picture. There are no signs of corrosion or water damage on the logic board beneath where the ssd was. None of the LSI lights have turned red to indicate water damage either. When I turned the macbook on everything worked fine except it couldnt locate the drive because obviously it's fried. My question is, would water damage on the logic board be visible and do I need to worry about other water damage if none of the lights turned red? I want to make sure I'm not taking on a bigger project than I can handle. Thanks!

They can be, however don't count on it.

Also there can be other types of damage, like over voltage when the SSD shorted and passed higher voltage onto connector pins.

Thank you for answering...I'm confused by your answer. What do you mean "they can be" - what can be? Also, how would I check something such as over voltage? Wouldn't that cause the mac not to run at all when I turn it on?

Water damage can be apparent, or not at all. So professional circuit diagnosis is required if you want to know for sure if it anything is damaged by water or short without actually powering it up.

Are you aware of the process that professional circuit diagnosis would go through?

Yeah. Go check Louis Rossmann’s YouTube videos. You need professional equipment and training. It’s provably not for average DIYers but you can see the general outline.
