The LG G4 was released in the US in early June 2015, as always focusing on high-end specifications and a refined fashion sense that makes it stand out in the premium smartphone market. Each version of the phone will have a different model number based on if it is sold by a carrier or unlocked (US or International). Some LG G4's are known to have bootloop problems.

Why isn't my computer detecting my phone?

My LG G4 US991 keeps failing to successfully boot. It has booted some times, but now it won't at all. I tried recovering it via the LG Mobile Support Tool with Upgrade Recovery, but it said the phone wasn't connected. What do I do now?

I see you mentioned the unit cannot turn on anymore. Are you able to get the unit in download mode?

LG G4 Download Mode

  • Download and Install LG’s USB Drivers
  • Plug the USB Cable into the PC(not connected to the LG G4)
  • Have you PC Powered On and Logged in
  • Power Down the LG G4
  • Press and Hold the Volume Up Button on the LG G4
  • While Holding Volume Up, Plug the USB Cable into the LG G4
  • Continue Holding the Volume Up Button After You See ‘Download Mode’
  • Let Go of the Volume Up Button When You See the ‘Firmware Update’ Screen on the LG G4

The connection would either be the phone not turning on or the driver.

Hope this helps.

Ok, so entering download mode works. Have you attempted to use another cable?
