Glitch after Screen Replacement.

So i had dropped my phone and it smashed the screen, I had bought a new screen and replaced it at home with my husband ( we are pretty well versed in this ) everything went FLAWLESS - camera work, 3d touch, touch ID, exc everything was fine.....then for some reason ONLY when i open apps the bottom of the screen doesn't react correctly....if I'm on home screen its fine i can touch the apps just fine on the bottom...once i get in an app anything on the very bottom doesn't react correctly ...( example: in Facebook the bar at the bottom if i touch notifications it will just open the bottom part of the feed showing )

1. I've established that the bottom part of the screen DOES work

2. Doesn't seem to be software related I've reset and restored

3. I opened back up and checked the connectors

At one point it went back to full function for about 30 minutes and then stopped again ...It doesn't add up to being a faulty digitizer ...ive read cleaning the connectors with alcohol helps....has anyone come across this.

Ok so I FIXED IT! - and i hope someone can maybe explain WTF I did LOL!

I remembered reading somewhere that a screen protector helped with an issue like this but blew it off because thats ridiculous.....I took this phone apart 3 times , cleaned everything, inspected the connections and nothing......i broke down...must be defective screen and ordered another screen....but figured hey since i have a new screen coming lets just see ....took a slice of packing tape and put it over the screen ( didn't have a screen protector ) .....INSTANT FIX!!!!........took the tape off....STILL WORKS...im so confused LOL what the heck did the tape do LOL

I tried using a screen protector for mine. It’s been about a month now, and it has not helped. It’s actually gotten worse.

I've already done that , and a hard reset - i don't feel like its a faulty screen because that part of the screen works on the home screen and sliding to unlock ...im leaning towards the connector to the logic board maybe
