Would it be possible to replace the NAND flash?

If I buy a 16GB iPad, desolder the nand-flash memory and solder back a 64GB nemory. Should it work?

PSP's IPL???

So...it uses the NAND for internel storage, so why not install a new one. I did it before, even fixed a rrod xbox with it. In the forum no one said it isn't possible, they say it's hard to do.. but work in the semiconductor industry and we have the right equipment to do it
