Why do I have problem with tuning on laptop

Hi,

I have an ASUS X550CA Notebook, using Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

My laptop won’t startup. It started a few weeks ago where it turned itself off whilst being used and then wouldn’t turn back on. After blowing into the fan vent it did work briefly.

I took it to someone with computer repair experience and where they replaced the paste on the heat exchanger on the fan component. They also disconnected the touchpad from the motherboard as there was signs of burning at the connection point.

It was apparently working after the repair.

Since bringing it home it will not start up. It will only start up for a couple of seconds then turn off, on a couple of occasions it has said something like repairing disk briefly before tuning off again.

This still occurs even after leaving it charged overnight etc.

I have taken it back to the repairer who got it working again and said the BIOS time/date was wrong. I got it home and seemed to work fine, however the next time I went to use it it started for a couple of seconds and then shuts off.

Seems a bit random when it wants to start up or not. It has actually loaded fully a couple of times whilst having it back at home. The battery seems to be charging as normal looking at the indicator on the task bar and charging light on laptop is illuminated when charging.

It will on occasions start up normally and stay on for as long as you want it, however turning it back on becomes a problem. Sometimes will turn on if left off for several hours.

Have tried taking battery out and connecting the power supply, it did start up then turn off after a couple of seconds. Then it wouldnt turn on again. Tried taking battery out and pressing power button for 30secs and reconnecting power supply, again it turned on for a couple of seconds then nothing.

Did return laptop to whom originally looked at it and he cleaned the on/off switch and motherboard etc. He siad that he had succesfully turned it on/off several times over a couple of days with no problems. Symptoms soon returned after getting it home.

Fan appears to working normally, no loud noises and no hot air.
