fixed screen about a week ago today it was extremely quiet

Might as well ask this here before starting a new thread, had a buddy whom I fixed his screen about a week ago. He told me today it was extremely quiet when he was talking on the phone with someone. Gonna look up some threads about this, anybody know why this may have happened?

What iPhone was it? The speaker that you moved from the cracked screen over to the new one could not be making a full connection with the two gold plated connectors on the ribbon cable. It also could not be seated properly in the rubber gromet that is stuck to the inside of the screen. Once you check these two possibilities see if the problem persits or it is fixed. If it is still quiet the speaker could have been ruined during the process. They are somewhere between 1 and 10 dollars on amazon.
