Replaced cracked screen, now new screen comes on but touch not working

I have just replaced a cracked screen on the iPad mini 2. It turns on but does not react to any touch commands. Have taken back off, reset plug and put back on. Same thing happening. Please advise....thanks!

This could be just a bad digitizer. If you purchased this unit off ebay or amazon, it is most likely a cheap product. If you have followed all the steps on ifixit on how to replace your digitizer and you still have no touch, it is most likely a bad digitizer. Did you have touch capability with the original broken glass?

Buying quality parts are worth the price.

Before assuming it is a bad digitizer, try reattaching the flex cables. Make sure that they are COMPLETELY attached. I've changed a few iPads and the touch wouldn't work because the flex cable wasn't completely attached.

I purchased the screen from here (iFixit). We have followed all the steps (several times) including reattaching cables and such. The original broken glass worked fine, just cracked.
