iPhone stuck on Apple Logo after screen replacement

Hello,

I'm hoping for some advice on what could possibly be the problem with my iphone 6. I recently dropped my phone and had a cracked screen. The phone still functioned properly and after finding a repair shop with good reviews I took it there to have the screen repaired. They replaced the screen but after awhile it got stuck when I tried to take a screen shot. so I took it back to the shop and they replaced the screen again, I thought that it was working fine until I tried to use Siri and it didn't work, I did some research and found out they probably had the microphone hole covered so I took it back to the shop again. I got a call from them telling me that they had to reset the phone and that it was stuck at the apple logo. I decided to take it to apple themselves and they suggested to buy a new phone which I did. I want to fix the old phone and wondering what could possibly be the problem. I've reset the phone, it gets stuck with the apple logo, however when connected to iTunes it shows up in the devices section but on the phone screen it's just stuck at the logo. Please help me with a possible fix so I can try to get it running again.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

At any point did the repair shop you took it to, or Apple, try to restore the device? Steps are in this article:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252

If they did, was there any kind of error message? The concern could be an issue with the logic board.

Sorry I don't have much else, but I hope this helps in some way.

I tried to restore it, putting it into DFU and then restoring it completely. It would go through the restore process and then it would show in iTunes as a device but then had an error and couldn't complete the restore.

so the answer that the apple genius bar gave me about the logic board being bad never did sit right with me because the phone would be recognized by iTunes and windows when connected. So I thought I would troubleshoot further and decided to buy some tools and open the phone myself. After disconnecting each cable from the logic board and then reconnecting them, I found out the problem was the front facing sensor and camera cable, I booted up the phone with that cable disconnected and it started up fine. Shut down the phone and reconnected the cable and it works. The mic is still not working so I'm going to replace the cable and hopefully have a working phone again. Thanks for all the help and suggestions, much appreciated.

Put the phone into DFU mode and try to restore it to a completely new version of iOS. This sounds more like a software problem than hardware.

I tried putting it in DFU mode and restoring it but it wouldn't complete the restore process.

Is the phone jailbroken?

Knowing the iTunes restore error would help a lot.

I just put it in DFU mode again and restored the iPhone, even got a notice about update to carrier settings. I then elected to set it up as a new iPhone and the phone is just stuck on the apple logo with a progress bar underneath with it almost complete. The iPhone shows up in iTunes and even shows all the pertinent data such as the serial number, IOS version and space available. But the screen is just stuck at the progress screen. Any suggestions?

Hello, you need to restore your iphone.

If you failed to restore, then what was the error code?

But did you succeed in restoring your device? Or it just stopped restoring and then stucked at apple logo?

by

The phone is showing up in iTunes and even installs windows drivers on the PC when you hook it up. however on the phone itself it's stuck on the apple logo and with a progress bar.

by

If it stucks on apple logo, you should enter DFU mode and then restore on 3uTools. This is the last way you can do about the software issue.

Thank you Grace, I fixed the phone earlier. Turned out to be an issue with the cable.
