Possible to replace a Pioneer SuperDrive with an Optiarc one?

The DVR-K06 in my 2210 iMac finally died, I'd like to replace it with an Optiarc AD-7630A I already have in an external enclosure (those Pioneer drives should be avoided at all costs...).

The mounting bracket isn't compatible with the Optiarc (pins do not align properly). My question is if it's possible to replace the bracket to a compatible one, and if it is, can it be purchased from you?

Thanks,

Adam.

If you are referring to the plastic pins on the front opening of the black plastic mounting bracket, they are likely made just for that drive. I doubt you can find another type. First I would contact Optiarc and tell them you want to buy one of their drives and what machine you want to put it in and get their recommendations. Next, if no answer, I would modify the existing mounting bracket. Misalignment can cause disk to fail to eject.
