Why doesn't my work as well is it should?

Hello, I bought a laptop with 6 gb of ram, AMD A8-6410 2.4 GHz processor and R5 with 1024 mb vram of gddr3. And I have been having problems running some games as well at they should. I know that this isn't a gaming laptop or anything like that but it should be able to run cs go with 60+ fps and LoL, but i keep getting like 50 fps in cs go and 30 fps in LoL? Is there a way to make my laptop work better? Thanks.

Hi Unknown,

That laptop isn't a real screamer, so what you're getting FPS-wise on average is normal for that kind of hardware. If you want better frames, try turning down the video settings in each of those games until you get fluid gameplay. Also, shutting down any programs running in the background that you aren't using will speed up your computer considerably. If you aren't ok turning down video settings in your games, you could try expanding your ram to 8 GB and investing in an SSD to improve load times. Hope this helps!

Yeah i know that but i've seen people having so much more fps with the same hardware with higher video settings, even if i put the resolution 640x480 and as low as possible i still get the same fps i get at 1024x768. I just think that my laptop is not working fully.

What operating system are you running? And have you checked to make sure that your computer is in balanced or high performance mode, and not in power saver?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and yeah its in high performance.

How many processes are you running in the background when everything is closed and idle at your desktop? I have used many computers that are around those hardware specifications, and don't get killer framerates in games. Try turning off anti-aliasing, shadows, shaders and motion blur in CS GO and run it at 1366 x 768 and let me know what frames you're getting.

I run like discord and stuff like that , msi afterburner as well, and vibrance gui, my fps on low as possible on 1366x768 is like 40-50 in a 5v5,if i try a different resolution my fps is almost the same.
