Smashed screen display was fine, half of display on new one is blank

So my old smashed screen worked fine and I could see everything. Just replaced it today and it seemed to have gone well. However I can only see about a third of the screen and the whole of the left side is just black/blank. The touch screen works on the blank side fine but just cannot see anything, just looking for a quick resolve thanks.

That sounds like a defective screen.

If you re-install your original, cracked screen, does the problem go away? If so, then contact your supplier about replacing your screen or buy a good quality one here.
