Why my phone won't turn on

My Lenovo phone A520 does not turn on. I tried to hold the power button but it still did not turn on. Also, my Whatsapp keeps crashing. How to fix it?

and also, how could whatsapp keep on crashing if the phone doesnt even turn on in the first place. if it's crashing, it's most likely a bug. most likely

@theelitepro_gd So far so good - but it's an old phone, look it up - Android 4.0 => outdated specs, WhatsApp is a modern app. She should also remove the battery and plug it back in before trying to charge it.
