Cartridges are full but still doesn't print

Hi, I got a Canon MG 2520. The printer is perfectly installed and everything. However when I try to print a document (including the alignment page), it comes out as just a blur and doesn't print properly. The printer doesn't indicate the cartridges are empty either. And when I check they appear to be full. I performed all the cleaning procedures suggested as well but still doesn't work. Scanner however works perfectly.

Does anyone know how to fix it or any suggestions?

Thank you.

The encoder strip gets dirty. Cleaning it usually resolves this issue. Heres how to check it. If you open up the front where the paper prints, theres a clear strip that goes from left to right (its right above the greasy metal strip). If the strip is dirty (typically with ink smudges), clean with a little bit of water and q-tips. BE GENTLE! And, be sure to UNPLUG the machine before proceeding. After cleaning do a test print to confirm.
