power flex cable, no sound from speakers

in the ipad mini 1st generation the power flex cable is soldered to the logic board.

there seems to be a small cut in this flex near the power connector. My question is,

does this flex cable also carry the sound to the internal speakers? they do connect

to tabs on the flex but maybe that is just a ground....so

in short.....is audio carried to the internal speakers through the internal power flex?
