Camera not focusing after lens replacement

I just finished up a 6s repair for a buddy of mine, everything went well. He asked me to replace his camera lens because his had dust in it and I believe a scratch as well. Looking up the repair, it seemed simple so I gave it a go.

It was pretty easy, I used some quick dry glue and followed the steps from the video I watched. It got a little messy, I should of had some better tools to dab a bit of glue on it, maybe a small cloth to. but I still got it done. Put the new bracket in, was all set.

After the repair, I had him test his camera and he was unable to focus fully on this close up object, kinda seemed like only part of the screen would foucs. I may of got some glue possibly in there but i didn't think i did. I think i may of just gotten some fingerprints on the inner side of the glass lens. Any ideas what could of caused this, i was also wiping his actual camera lens with my shirt. Could also be the reason..

Another thing, his phone housing was bent at the bottom. I feared i may of had problems getting the screen down after the repair. It went down okay, the edge of the screen was popping out a little though so i was only able to get one pentalobe screw in. The other one just wasn't lining up because of the sceeen not fully in place. I tried squeezing the bottom edge down a bit and trying to get the p screw in whilst doing that. No luck there, any suggestions on what i should do there? My boss has been working with phones for ages so ima see if he can maybe push the screen in enough and get the pentalobe in. Hoping the one p screw should hold enough for now. I apologize if my grammar was garbo btw, wrote this on my phone.

The autofocus is a physical function, so the lens has to move freely (from what I understand). Unfortunately it sounds like you got some glue or possibly little pieces of glass in between the foam of the camera surround and the camera itself, not allowing it to move. You may have to replace the camera.
