My screen is constantly flickering

Is this an LCD problem or is it a fixable issue in the hardware somewhere?

That TV looks like the model I had that has the notorious bad cap issue. My TV was doing something similar until it wouldnt boot anymore. Luckily for me, Samsung had a class action suit that extended the warranty to one repair. A tech showed up to my house and replaced the caps that were on the power supply. My TV was purchased in 2008 and it's still running strong.

check power cord that supply power to samsung. if power cord teared somewhere then also power flicking occur. also chack lcd internal power cable.

When you call up the menu, does it flicker as well? And does it do this on all inputs?
