Why won't my kindle come on? The green charged light comes on when zi

My kindle won't come on or do anything when I press the on button. I was using it yesterday and it suddenly just went dead. Help me please.

Obviously, you probably have given up on this or never thought about it again but I thought I would chime in. So, it could be the battery or I would check the charging port. Make sure nothing is stuck in there. Also check the audio jack, that could interfere with charging. Make sure you have the correct charger as well.
