Replaced home button and now display is broken

Hi, I replaced my home button because my touch ID didnt work. I did all the steps in a YouTube video that had good reviews and when I turned my phone back on, the screen was glitched. There was lines on the side and it was like the screen was seeing double. The new home button doesnt even work either! I don't know how to fix it. A picture is here: http://imgur.com/a/Wnz7K

Did you make sure to disconnect the battery before changing the home button. Did you have a ESD band on. and did you remove the screen connectors. Normally the Home button mismatch error is a Error 53 message which Apple will have to fix. If you removed the screen connectors I would check them to make sure they are connected correctly and don't have any thing in the sockets. But make sure you have your ESD band on and the battery is disconnected. If you did not have the battery disconnected the first time you might try and disconnect it and reconnect it and see if that helps first.

Hi there you’ll find from the iPhone 5s and up with the finger sensors that the screens come with the home button and when the screen has been changed or screen is separated from the button it won’t work as it thinks you are trying to change the sensor to get into the phone so normally you would need the original one

I switched the new one with the old one but the screen still looks like the picture. DO you have any ideas what could be wrong?
