Power Button Wiring Mac Mini 2011

Got a Mac Mini in for the fan connector replacement which has been replaced, however the wires going into the power button from the logic board have been pulled off by the customer when fitting the dual hard drive enclosure.

I'd like to strip and resolder the wires to the power button PCB, but could anyone confirm which wire goes where (black and a grey one), since I haven't got another one to hand, and it's possible they are in the wrong position.

Thanks.

I don't think it matters, which goes on what side.

Double check using a Ohm meter to see if one side of the button contacts is chassis ground, if neither are it makes no difference.

Thanks, I'll check once I'm in again on Saturday. I'm sure it said something like 'PWR1' and 'PWR2', but I only saw this when I peeled back the tape to see the wires were damaged, so I'm probably wrong

Its a soft switch - Momentarily contact blister switch, which is sensed within the power supply to kick the power supply on. Just like the iMac's

Thanks. Grey wire (gnd) goes on the left side and the black wire on the right side. Works fine now :)
