Music will not play when plugged into any car stereo. What's going on?

Everytime I plugged my phone into any car stereo, the music will not play. Well it plays for like half a second then stops. But it doesn't do it when I use headphones or speakers.

My BLU XL2 has the same problem. This is the 2nd time someone has asked this question. Must be a defect from the factory. I have purchased the warranty from BLU but can not contact customer service.
