Bottom half of the screen is unresponsive.

I replcaed my phone screen about a month ago using one of the guiides on this website. Everything worked fine. Then out of no where the bottom half of the screen stopped working and I cant use the keyboard or anything. Im not sure what to do.

Well a super temporary fix is to use landscape mode. Where did you get the parts from? If it was here, ifixit has an AMAZING warranty program

Here's the email for support. That's usual the best bet

Though their phone support has recently gotten better

After that, if you haven't purchased from ifixit, I would contact whomever you've purchased it from, and see if you can't get a replacement

This is the exact replacement screen i got....

Is there anything else I can do to fix it without having to replace the screen again?


Probably not. The touch not working on the bottom half is characteristic of a faulty screen. It would probably be easy to get a refund if you bought it on amazon.


It is now working. But I have to press a little hard to get it to respond. Could it be a partially disconnected wire or something???
