How do I solder an AUX to iPod docking station pins?

How do i solder an AUX to Ipod docking station pins?

I've tried lots of things, but can't get the docking station to "detect" an ipod..?

I've tried to connect all the GND to eachother and connect the AUX L and R to Ipod L and R.

And at the same time have tried to connect the 3.3V to both Rx or Tx or Ipod det. and non of them seems to "detect" an Ipod or even make the speakers make a noise?
